Examination Successes

ACCA examination results from the December 2007 sitting have been released.  Two members of the Saint Helena Audit Service received passes in the final paper under the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Scheme.

Value For Money Consultation 2008/09

The Audit Service conducts Value For Money audits for the Legislative Council.  Each year the Audit Service decides what audits it thinks are 'necessary or appropriate'.  During the year the Public Accounts Committee, can request the Audit Service to conduct 'specific enquiries into any element' of Government expenditure.  Have we got the balance right between audits planned in advance and responding to requests from Public Accounts Committee?

New Chief Auditor appointed

The Saint Helena Audit Service is pleased to announce Mr Anthony Kilner as the successful candidate for the post of Chief Auditor.  Confirmation has been received that Anthony will be arriving on St Helena on the 14th July 2007, accompanied by his wife.

Public Consultation on "Value For Money" audit programme

The Saint Helena Audit Service is reviewing its programme of "Value For Money" (VFM) audit reviews across Government operations and now seeks contributions from the public suggesting areas for inclusion.
