Reporting your Concerns
The Audit Service is here
to serve the public interest and ensure the highest possible
standards of accountability, financial reporting and value
for money achievement within central government, its departments
and parastatal bodies.
If you have any genuine concerns about how public money
is spent
then we urge you to contact the Chief Auditor – using
any of the methods on our ‘contacts’
page. Your identity will be kept a secret – but if
you really do not want to tell us who you are you do not
have to.
Making a knowingly false allegation wastes public
time and money – and could result in legal action
being taken against you - don’t do it.
It is hoped that establishment of protection rights for
those providing us with information, and an investigatory
code of conduct, will be formalised later this year.
